UPITEX 2026: A Confluence of Trade, Investment, and Culture

Lucknow: The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX 2026) is poised to set a new benchmark for trade and industry in North India, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s growing presence on the national and global economic stage. Recognized as an approved Trade Expo under the PMS Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, UPITEX 2026 is being organized by the Uttar Pradesh State Chapter of PHDCCI in collaboration with One District One Product (ODOP) and Invest UP, Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The expo is a strategic initiative aimed at empowering MSMEs, encouraging investment, and showcasing the state’s diverse industrial and cultural strengths. With more than 400 stalls, UPITEX 2026 brings together a wide spectrum of sectors under one roof.

The handicrafts and textiles segment highlights Uttar Pradesh’s rich artisanal heritage, featuring Moradabad’s brassware, Firozabad’s glass products, and handcrafted carpets from the Bhadohi–Mirzapur belt. Industrial capabilities are showcased through engineering and leather clusters from Kanpur–Auraiya and Agra–Aligarh, reflecting the state’s manufacturing depth.

In the FMCG and agri-processing sectors, participation by leading companies such as Radico Khaitan Limited, Everest Food Products Private Limited, Fena Private Limited, Rajesh Masala Private Limited, and Patanjali Ayurved Limited underlines the strong business relevance of the expo. Financial institutions including NABARD, SIDBI, SBI, Union Bank of India, and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) are actively guiding MSMEs toward financial inclusion, credit access, and market expansion. Attractions such as Kannauj’s perfume products, a dedicated automobile pavilion, and displays of modern technologies are also drawing significant attention.

At the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) pavilion, over 40 leading exporters are showcasing export-ready products, GI-tagged items, and contemporary designs, enabling direct interaction between buyers and manufacturers. The National Jute Board pavilion is highlighting jute products crafted by artisans and self-help groups, promoting sustainable livelihoods and eco-friendly alternatives.

UPITEX 2026 is witnessing unprecedented enthusiasm, with a large footfall expected in the initial days. Strong business enquiries and buyer interest reflect growing confidence in Uttar Pradesh’s market potential. Institutions such as BIS are providing guidance on standardization, quality control, and regulatory compliance, while the NSE is set to organize a Financial Literacy Conference on January 25, 2026, further strengthening the knowledge ecosystem for entrepreneurs.

The presence of prominent dignitaries including Rajesh Nigam, Co-Chair, UP State Chapter PHDCCI; Rajesh Kumar, Zonal Head, Union Bank of India, Lucknow; Shruti Sharma, Regulatory Department, NSE India Ltd.; Sanjay Tiwari, Executive Director, BNI Lucknow Chapter; Atul Srivastava, Senior Regional Director, PHDCCI UP State Chapter; Hardeep Singh, Consultant Trade Fair, PHDCCI; and Mohammad Farhan, Founder, Kamakazi Solutions Pvt. Ltd., has further strengthened the event.

Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Nigam said that UPITEX 2026 is a unique platform where policy, industry, and markets converge to create new opportunities for MSMEs, artisans, and entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh. Rajesh Kumar highlighted that such platforms enable direct engagement between MSMEs and financial institutions, helping entrepreneurs better understand banking services, capital access, and market dynamics. Atul Srivastava described UPITEX 2026 as a symbol of the state’s industrial journey, where trade, technology, investment, and culture come together to drive economic growth.

Beyond business, UPITEX 2026 is also a vibrant cultural celebration. Food pavilions are offering regional delicacies such as Rajasthan’s Dal Baati Churma, Punjab’s Sarson ka Saag and Makki ki Roti, Lucknow’s Awadhi cuisine, and Bihar’s Litti Chokha. Live music, dance performances, fashion shows, and entertainment activities are adding to the festive atmosphere.
